These artworks were Inspired by my multiple visits to San Francisco, CA. From the architectural marvel of the Golden Gate Bridge to the historical depths of Alcatraz Island, each site tells a part of the city’s story that enchants visitors from all corners of the globe.
The Golden Gate Bridge
Upon its completion in 1937, it was the tallest and longest suspension bridge in the world. The Golden Gate Bridge came to be recognized as a symbol of the power and progress of the United States, and it set a precedent for suspension-bridge design around the world.
The Cable Cars
The San Francisco Cable Cars are one of the only moving National Historic Landmarks in the United States. They are a fun part of California’s history and no trip to San Francisco is complete without taking a ride on one of them.
The Painted Ladies
These Queen Anne-style homes are one of the thousands built in San Francisco during its booming growth at the end of the 19th-century. Their brightly colored edifices have become a pop culture staple, and are one of the most well-recognized examples of California Victorian architecture.
